This is a rare opportunity for a senior designer to join my client a well-respected supplier who are growing their team and are seeking a Senior Jersey Designer with experience working with Primark to oversee a small team based in beautiful Central London offices A strong working knowledge of dealing with Indian based factory production is a essential for this role
Working alongside the Sales and Design Director meeting with buyers ,this role will also involve some overseas visits to their factory base in India. This role offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development to be part of an exciting sourcing and design office This is a Central London Based role offering hybrid working with at least 4 days in the office .

Main duties will include:
- Creating on-trend, forward-thinking, commercial womenswear designs.
- Implementing direction and innovation for the season across print, fabric and trim.
- Communicating effectively with all internal and external teams
- Overseeing the development of all sampling ensuring deadlines are met.
- People management and strong collaboration with the rest of the wider team
- To produce detailed technical packs for accurate first-time samples.
- Carry out trend research and analysis
Person specification:
- Strong l jersey design background
- Some woven knowledge highly desirable
- Experience working with Primark and good knowledge of Indian production
- Strong Fabric sourcing ability
- Ability to travel to factories when required
- Licencing experience advantageous but not essential
- Confident presenting to buyers
- Able to work at pace and be good at prioritising multiple requests and working to several deadlines simultaneously.
- Previous supplier experience is essential within a commercial environment.
- A strong understanding of the current trends and the ability to look forward and anticipate new trends.
- CAD and illustration skills.
- Experienced and confident in presenting ideas, trends, and design work.
- A hands-on can-do attitude, someone who is hard working, innovative, positive.
