Job Description
We are looking for a talented, hands on Senior Designer who has true understanding of womenswear jersey multi-product. Proven experience and technical understanding are a must.
Based in Central London you will report into the Design Director and work across trends, research, fabrication and shapes. This role will be working across high volume successful high street accounts. You will need confidence when presenting to customers.
Main Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for successful development of innovative, yet commercial product, that meets customers' requirements.
Producing and presenting product to Buyers, leading design meetings.
Work collaboratively with the sales and merchandising teams to ensure on time deliveries.
Establishing trend direction, compiling fashion trends for the season.
Building seasonal colour palettes, driving innovation & newness.
Liaise with overseas factories.
Lead the Design team, managing Juniors to follow up throughout the season - amending sketches, updating colour cards etc.
Understand garment construction and production constraints
Person Specifications:
Previous experience as a Designer or Senior Designer across womenswear jersey.
A true understanding of jersey fabrications.
Multi product categories would also be an advantage for this role
Proficient CAD - Illustrator/Photoshop skills.
A confident communicator.
Be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills.
