Job Description

We are working with a leading fashion company with global operation. They are looking for a talented and experienced Menswear Designer across woven and jersey to create design-led, trend-driven ranges for clients across the UK and Europe.

The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of menswear trends, particularly in woven and jersey fabrics, and possess a proven ability to develop original and marketable designs. This position involves close collaboration with design and production teams to deliver stylish and on-trend woven and jersey menswear pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative woven and jersey designs for menswear collections.
  • Research and analyse emerging trends, focusing on fabric innovations and menswear styles.
  • Create detailed technical drawings, colourways, and specifications for designs.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are accurately executed, considering fabric properties and garment construction.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop cohesive visual concepts for product launches.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences.
  • Participate in design reviews, offering creative feedback and suggestions.
  • Ensure all designs align with the company's brand identity and quality standards.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in menswear design, with a focus on woven and jersey fabrics.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and other design tools.
  • Solid knowledge of fabric types, print techniques, and garment construction.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail, style, and colour.
