A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Womenswear Soft Wovens Designer to join a leading UK supplier to major high street retailers and supermarkets. Based in their London office, this role is perfect for a creative, trend-driven designer with a strong commercial eye and experience in the young to mid-market fashion sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the in-house sales team to drive accounts forward.
- Develop seasonal mood boards, trend forecasts, and capsule collections.
- Design fashion-forward, commercially viable products tailored to client needs.
- Source and research new fabrics, trims, and design inspirations.
- Attend fabric fairs and shopping trips for inspiration and innovation.
- Present designs confidently in meetings with sales managers and buying teams.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience designing young, high-fashion womenswear.
- A strong understanding of tailoring, fabrications, and silhouettes.
- Previous experience working with high street retailers.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
- A team player with a keen eye for trends and commercial viability.
