Job Description

We are working with a well-established supplier within the fashion industry who are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchandising Manager with a strong background in supply chain management, particularly within the ladieswear sector.
This hybrid role also encompasses Office Management, requiring an individual capable of overseeing day-to-day operations in a small, fast-paced office environment (15-20 staff), acting as a key support to senior leadership.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for customers on matters of stock flow, order progress, and factory capacity.

  • Maintain daily contact with international sourcing offices, mills, and factories.

  • Maintain and update critical path software and monitor shipments to ensure timelines are met.

  • Oversee the accuracy and feasibility of commitments made by account managers and designers to ensure consistent delivery.

  • Provide timely updates to customers regarding order and development progress.

  • Attend customer meetings as required and build long-term, strategic relationships.

  • Oversee all stages from order placement through to sealed sample approvals to ensure timely delivery.

  • Monitor sample and lab dip progress, and coordinate resolution of issues with factories.

  • Generate cost sheets, place and track orders, and maintain accurate records.

  • Act as the central point of contact for staff, ensuring smooth office operations.

  • Foster a positive, supportive work culture within the team.

Person Specifications:

  • Experience in a merchandising role within a fashion supplier environment.

  • Solid experience working with Far East manufacturing bases, especially Bangladesh.

  • Excellent understanding of supply chain and production timelines.

  • Strong commercial acumen and customer-facing experience, with confidence managing senior stakeholders.

  • High proficiency in Excel and other IT systems; strong numerical skills essential.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and highly organised.
