Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Jersey Designer specialising in menswear to join a highly successful fashion company based in Leicester. You will be creative and create exciting, fashion-forward menswear jersey product for a number of well-known retailers in the UK and Europe.
We are looking for a team player, who works collaboratively with production teams to bring unique and on-trend jersey styles to life.
Key responsibilities will include:
Design and develop original jersey concepts for menswear collections.
Research and interpret current and emerging fashion trends, focusing on menswear and jersey fabric innovations.
Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and colourways for each design.
Presenting trend research to Buyers.
Sourcing new fabrications, techniques and trimmings.
Travelling to customer appointments within UK and abroad when required to develop ranges and products.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitors.
Ensure all designs align with the brand's identity and quality standards.
Person specification:
Experience as a Menswear Designer across jersey product.
Sound knowledge of jersey fabrications.
Strong design skills using Illustrator and CAD.
Excellent communication skills to work closely with team members.
Team player and understanding of deadlines and critical paths.
Attention to detail and a strong sense of style and colour.
