Job Description
We are exclusively partnering with a leading design-led manufacturer supplying some of the UK's top high-street and online fashion retailers. With multi-category design teams based in the UK, Europe, and the USA, our client collaborates closely with each brand to create trend-driven, high-quality collections.
This Technical Product Developer role is pivotal in bridging the gap between design, sample development, and production. You'll work closely with the design team to create technical CADs and tech packs, support offshore sample rooms across Bangladesh, China, India, and Egypt, and ensure that samples align with design concepts, quality, fit, and cost expectations. You will also play a key role in supporting offshore production teams by liaising with client fit teams, interpreting fit comments, and resolving technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Block Library Management: Maintain and develop block libraries to streamline the design process and ensure consistency across styles.
- New Block Development: Create new blocks in line with design direction and evolving client requirements.
- Tech Pack Development: Work closely with designers to develop comprehensive tech packs, including garment specifications, construction details, fabric and trim information, and measurement charts.
- Clo 3D CAD Development: Collaborate with in-house Clo 3D specialists to create visual representations for internal and client use.
- Sample Room Liaison: Act as the key link between the design team and offshore sample rooms, ensuring clear communication on construction, materials, and sample expectations.
- Client-Facing Fit Support: Assist offshore production teams in interpreting client fit comments, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring garment fit meets expectations.
- Costing & Production Support: Work alongside sampling teams, production teams, and designers to ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising design or quality.
- Quality Control: Review fit and sealing samples, conduct quality checks, and collaborate with offshore teams to resolve issues and enhance processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, account managers, and technical/production teams to ensure a smooth transition from concept to final product.
