Job Description

We are exclusively partnering with a renowned fashion retailer looking for a Senior Merchandiser (Maternity Cover) to join their London-based team.

In this role, you will oversee planning, critical path management, and timely product launches while driving sales performance. You will play a key role in shaping strategy and collaborating with the buying team to develop top-performing ranges.

This position offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility while working with a dynamic and creative team.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy in collaboration with the buying team, including options, volumes, and key beliefs, while incorporating feedback from partners, markets, and channels.

  • Work closely with the buying team to create a well-balanced, cohesive range that meets the needs of all markets and channels.

  • Proactively address any critical path or delivery disruptions, taking action to minimise risk.

  • Analyse weekly, monthly, and seasonal global sales data, participating in performance reviews and strategic adjustments for future planning and development.

  • Act as the main liaison for select wholesale and retail partners, offering insights into global performance, identifying stock swap opportunities, and ensuring each channel reaches its full trading potential.

  • Drive business growth by identifying new product opportunities.

  • Lead the training and development of the Merchandising team, establishing best practices, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring professional growth at all levels.

  • Conduct bi-annual team appraisals, coaching and mentoring team members while setting clear objectives.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser role, working with wholesale partners is advantageous.

  • Leadership and team management skills, fostering collaboration and initiative within the team.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, ensuring profitability and minimising risk through strategic analysis and adjustments.

  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

  • Passionate, enthusiastic and motivated.
