Job Description

We have a fabulous opportunity for a Senior International Merchandise to join a fashion brand.

Based in London, you will need exceptional knowledge of international markets and offer valuable insight into brand positioning, competitors and opportunities for growth. You will work collaboratively with Buying & Design, ensuring product offering takes into account customers needs as well as the business critical path.

This role offers hybrid working.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the market to provide insights on brand positioning, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities.

  • Understand the global trading calendar and market-specific activities, ensuring all requirements align with the business's critical path.

  • Familiar with the customer's OTB (Open-to-Buy), product options, and specific needs; collaborate with Buying and Design teams to gain insights into collections, identify growth areas, and incorporate these opportunities into sales appointments.

  • Stay informed on brand performance, best and worst sellers, and trade opportunities. Utilise insights from past season buys and continuity items to inform future appointments.

  • Actively work within each season to enhance sales and identify trading opportunities.

  • Deliver comprehensive reports for Heads of Sales and Executives.

  • Being present in showroom presentations with during sales events, providing knowledgeable and engaging representation in appointments.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in merchandising within an international context, ideally with senior-level responsibility across multiple regions.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret, and act upon sales and performance metrics to drive growth.

  • Proficient in data analysis with the ability to leverage insights for planning, inventory management, and strategic positioning.

  • Skilled in seasonal planning, sales forecasting, and data analysis.

  • Demonstrates initiative in driving growth, exploring new opportunities, and continuously improving processes.
