Due to continued growth my clients business has grown and they are looking for an experienced Senior Womens Woven designer looking for a role that will lead to progression to a head of design . This role will be a hands on design role coupled with giving a small team direction and leading the design and development
The ideal candidate will be passionate about woven design and should have some experience managing more junior staff. Working closely with the MD and sales director you will be part of and leading a friendly team who you'll work collaboratively to create new and innovative mood/trend boards and CAD's.
This role is offering a competitive salary and one day a week from home.
Main duties will include:
- Preparing colour palettes for seasonal collections.
- Travel for competition shopping/sourcing/factory visits.
- Create, develop and design CAD's in line with brands handwriting.
- Research and create mood boards to illustrate direction, colour and trends for the season.
- Present ranges confidently to Buyers.
- Manage a small team, their workload and development.
Person specification:
- Have 5 years experience within woven ladieswear design role
- Previous supplier experience essential
- Strong organisational & communication skills.
- Able to influence , direct and lead a small team
- A strong understanding of the current high street, trends and the ability to look for newness and upcoming trends on multiple platforms.
- A friendly hands-on can-do attitude, who is proactive and a team player.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines.
