Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Garment Technologist to join a dynamic womenswear team for a fashion brand.
Based in London, this is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for garment construction and fit. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet high-quality standards, working closely with Designers, suppliers, and buying teams.
The role offers hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development of womenswear garments from initial design to final production.
Conduct fit sessions and provide technical feedback to ensure accurate garment construction.
Measure and assess samples against size specifications, making necessary amendments.
Work closely with designers and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Ensure all garments meet quality, fit, and brand standards before bulk production.
Maintain accurate documentation of technical specifications, comments, and approvals.
Support the senior garment tech team with daily tasks and project management.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a garment technology role, ideally within womenswear.
Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fitting techniques.
Experience working with factories and suppliers, preferably in both local and offshore production.
Proficiency in measuring and assessing garment samples.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and technical software such as Adobe Illustrator or PLM systems (desirable).
