Job Description
We are working with a prestigious fashion brand who are seeking a talented Garment Technologist across Womenswear who has excellent attention to detail.
Based in London, you will work within a team of Garment Technologists working across styles and own them from proto type through to delivery of the finished product into stores. This role will focus on understanding and interpreting the Designer's sketches/details and developing with them and your supplier beautiful, high quality and relevant product. Key to your role will be the interest to explore and study new trends to adjust your interpretation and delivery.
This role offers 4 days in the office and 1 from home.
Main Responsibilities Will Include:
- Confidently fit garments in line with critical path deadlines.
- Lead fit sessions ensuring fit and garment construction are maintained to a high standard.
- Communicate with suppliers clearly on all technical issues.
- Assess the quality of the garments that have been worked on.
- Partake in risk assessment sessions.
- Ensure model measurements are in line with the brands profile.
- Checking grading to make sure all products fit across sizes and product areas.
- Attend weekly updates meetings and work collaboratively with Design, Merchandising and buying.
- Embrace new trends and study them to make sure you understand how to deliver the garments.
Person Specifications:
- At least 3 years' experience as a Garment Technologist.
- Experience with garment testing and risk assessment.
- Pattern cutting and grading experience beneficial.
- Strong levels of attention to detail.
- Computer and IT literate.
