Job Description
We are working with an established and successful fashion business who supply to a range of reputable retailers who focus on quality and style. They are looking for a Designer across jersey and / or woven ladieswear with a commercial eye who is ahead of the trends. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring your vision to life, ensuring that each piece aligns with brand aesthetics and meets market demands.
It is imperative to be innovative, show creativity and flair, designing quality garments and presenting these to customers. A strong commercial jersey and woven design background from either a supplier or retailer is required.

Main responsibilities will include:
- Stay ahead of industry trends, conducting thorough market research to inform design decisions and inspire innovative ideas.
- Maintaining and establishing relationships with customers, being the main point of contact.
- Attend and lead customer meetings, working to set briefs.
- Manage sampling development of critical path.
- Produce detailed technical sketches and specifications for production, ensuring accuracy and clarity for manufacturers.
- Sourcing of new fabrics and trims
- Working collaboratively with other Designers, Account managers and Garment Technologists working to design commercial, fashion-led jersey and woven product.
Person Specifications:
- Previous supplier or retail experience within jersey and woven with a strong commercial eye.
- Confident communicator with experience liaising with customer accounts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Adobe packages, creating CADs.
- Ability to work to multiple deadlines.
- Team player with a positive attitude
