Job Description
A new opportunity has arisen to join this established fashion retailer who are looking for a Credit Control Manager to join their existing finance team.The successful candidate must have previous knowledge working in credit control for a retailer, fashion brand or supplier and have excellent, clear communication skills as you will be liaising daily with customers as well as internal and external stake holders This role does offer hybrid working .
Main responsibilities will include
- Manage credit insurance limits
- Monitoring the aged debt analysis to identify overdue accounts.
- Analysis of sales registers for deviations, attend customer meetings when required .
- Chasing all overdue accounts
- Chase up all Independent accounts and those on payment plans
- Set up and manage payment plans
- Releasing / holding orders for the warehouse after credit checks are completed
- Run weekly credit control meetings
- Resolving debit notes issues and account queries whenever necessary
- Comparing insurance policies for the Company
- Assist in VAT filing when required Processing and download bank payments
- Run the aged debtors reports
- Raising manual invoices and credit notes where necessary
- Produce a monthly cash forecast report
Person Specification
- Previous experience within a credit control setting in a similar environment
- Experience within a retail background is essential - fashion background highly advantageous
- Supplier/ Brand experience in a similar role ill also be considered
- Strong commercial knowledge
- Proficiency in SAP, excel and word
- Energetic and enthusiastic
- Good eye for detail , communication and influencing skills
- Team player
